Storage King selected as finalists for two categories in the SSA UK Awards

We are pleased to announce that Storage King Gloucester and Simon Elworthy of Storage King Oxford have been announced as finalists in two categories in the highly contested 2019 Self Storage Association (SSA) UK Awards.

Each year the SSA UK recognises and highlights various achievements within the self storage industry through the SSA UK Awards. The recognition of these awards is fairly significant in the industry and as such each year the awards attract a large number of highly competitive entries.

Storage King Gloucester is up for UK Large Operator Facility of the Year and Simon Elworthy of Storage King Oxford has been nominated for the UK Manager of the Year award category.

Storage King Gloucester, which is managed by José Suarez and assisted by Sharon McCarthy, has won several awards over the years. In 2015 José won the Highly Commended award in the category of European Manager of the Year in the Federation of European Self Storage Association Awards. As one of the leading self storage facilities in the Gloucester area, the store continues to impress with their excellent level of customer service and in being an extremely well-run facility.

Simon Elworthy joined Storage King Oxford as store manager in October 2013. When joining the store, he did so with no industry experience but he did bring with him extensive experience in sales having formally run his own business. Under Simon’s management the store has continued to attract new customers from the Oxford community while at the same time looked after existing tenants with a wide variety of self storage needs.

The winners will be announced at the SSA UK Awards dinner on 27 June in London. The winners of these awards will then progress to the European Self Storage Awards which will take place in London on 01 October 2019.
