erry and Jet at our Worcester store were delighted to be able to help out with the local YMCA Sleep Easy night by donating large boxes for the volunteers to sleep in.
Sleep Easy is a YMCA England fundraiser and this was the 2nd year YMCA Worcester has held the event. Participants sleep out for the night and raise funds for YMCA Worcester. Money raised by the event goes towards the support and facilities of the residents in the hostel. Last year the event raised over £3,000 which went towards the creation of 2 Safe Bases. These are temporary emergency accommodation for 16/17 years olds whilst appropriate accommodation is found.
We look forward to hearing the total raised from the 2013 Sleep Easy night, with 40 people sleeping out compared to 30 in 2012 the result is looking promising.
