Storagefling winner

Storagefling Winner

Storage King has been a proud sponsor of Gloucester Rugby for some time and more recently we partnered with the Gloucester-Hartpury Women’s Rugby team as well.

At the beginning of the season last year we launched the #storagefling challenge, a half-time activation which gave supporters the opportunity to win a selection of prizes.

The challenge was simple: Get as many rugby balls into the Storage King bucket as possible! During each home game two lucky fans were given the opportunity to have a go at the challenge and after each game the winner was added to a leader board.

How the #storagefling worked

Before the start of the game, the two contestants were selected to participate. They were each given four standard rugby balls and one bonus Storage King yellow rugby ball which was to be thrown last. Each contestant had to throw as many balls into the Storage King bucket as possible. For each of the standard rugby balls that landed in the bucket, the contestant received 10 points. If they then threw the yellow ball in, they would double whatever points they had accumulated. Watch a game in action here.

Winner of the #storagefling

At the end of the season, it all came down to one individual – Matt Ives. Matt received the highest score and so we would like to congratulate him on taking the top spot. He received an incredible prize of £1000 cash, one year of free self storage and a signed Gloucester Rugby shirt.

Women’s Rugby

Rugby is one of the UK’s fastest-growing female sports, with the number of woman and girl players having doubled over the past four years. We urge you to get down to Kingsholm Stadium to support the Gloucester-Hartpury Women’s Rugby team whenever they play. Their passion and dedication to the game has been a pleasure to watch over the last few months and we wish both the women’s and men’s team the very best in their next season.
