For the third year running Storage King has been recognised by the Self Storage Association for our exemplary stores and staff.
The Self Storage Association UK hold annual awards in conjunction with FEDESSA (Federation of European Self Storage Associations) to find the best stores and staff in each market and across Europe. All self-storage companies both large and small submit entries which are judged by an independent panel.
In 2016 Storage King was shortlisted for two awards, the Charity Initiative of the Year Award (which we had previously won in 2015) and the Manager of the year award. The manager of the year award is voted for in the UK and then the winner of that award it put through to the highly competitive category of European Store Manager of the Year. Last year we were delighted that Richard Locke (our Derby Manager) won the award after beating off stiff competition from across Europe!
Once again the time of year has come for the next awards which are to be held in Berlin in October. Storage King submitted two entries this year for European Store Manager of the Year and UK Large Facility of the Year.
Our Store Manager at the Aylesford store Sam Golding was chosen to represent the company, and Robin Greenwood (CEO of Storage King) explained that “Sam is an exemplary store manager, her work ethic and approach to customer service is second to none. Sam goes above and beyond to help all our customers and the store results reflect this”.
Our Doncaster store was put forward for Large Facility of the Year, with our established store team of Dawn Guzauskas and Justine Holt having managing this store to maturity.
We are delighted to announce that both entries for the 2017 awards have been shortlisted. With Sam being shortlisted with 4 other European Store Managers and Doncaster pitted against 3 other UK large facilities.
The winners will be announced in October and we will keep you posted !!!
