Kent Electrical Contracting Ltd is an established Milton Keynes-based company with a strong emphasis on professionalism, reliability and integrity. We offer a broad range of electrical services to the commercial and industrial sectors, as well as electric vehicle charging for your homes and businesses.
How has your business grown over the years?
We started Kent Electrical Contracting 12 years ago with just 3 employees. Since then, we have grown steadily over this period and now employ 6 fully-qualified electricians, 3 apprentices as well as admin staff.
What inspired you to work in this industry?
Our directors Paul and Peter worked within a family electrical business when they left school and knew this was the direction they wanted their careers to go! They completed all the industry's qualifications and set out on the road to becoming fully qualified electricians.
What are some challenges you encountered in your industry, and how did you and your team overcome them?
On a day-to-day basis, we have to assess the required scope of the installations and provide a solution that is the best value for money while still of a high standard of workmanship. The electrical industry is an industry that consistently strives to provide low energy and safe technology for all applications. We are continuously engaged in training and staff development to stay abreast of the industry changes.

Our ever-growing client list and repeat business is a testament to the confidence and trust our customers have in us. We provide outstanding service and take on any project to a very high standard, along with completing projects within budget and timescale constraints.
How has Storage King helped your business succeed?
We have had a long relationship with Storage King, having provided electrical services to them over a number of years. Their facilities are excellent and their rates are highly competitive. We currently use them as an office space and occasionally use the self storage side of their business.
Do you have any new and exciting projects planned for this year?
We are increasing our electric vehicle charging installations weekly and anticipate that the sale of electric vehicles will increase rapidly this year. As OZEV government-approved installers, we offer an affordable path to installing EV charging points at your home or business. For home use, EV charging points allow you to ensure your vehicle is always fully charged, meaning you don't have to rely on public charging networks.
