Storage King is thrilled to announce our renewed partnership with Gloucester Rugby Club. Since 2015, we have been working with the mighty ‘Cherry and Whites’ to help support Gloucester’s local community and feed our passion for rugby.
Our banners supporting the club can be found all around the stadium. So, whether you’re coming to watch the men’s or women’s teams play, you’ll be joined by the blue and yellow support from Storage King. Excitingly, our famous logo is now embroidered onto the women’s rugby kit, providing even more support during their matches.
Currently the team are fourth in the Aviva Premiership, hot on the heels of the Wasps and not far behind Saracens and the current league leaders, Exeter Chiefs. And with talent like Ruan Ackermann, we’ve got high hopes for the ‘Cherry and Whites’.
Ackermann, who joined the team in September 2017, has made a huge impression at Kingsholm; helping the team get to their current position and being named Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for November 2017.
Honoured to be sponsoring such a giving sports team, we are inspired by Gloucester Rugby Club’s community spirit. The team pride themselves in making a difference to the lives of many people. Motivating people to enjoy a physically active and healthy lifestyle, they also transform attitudes to learning through educational initiatives.
Each season, the community team visits more than 100 schools across Gloucestershire, offering sessions to over 12,000 young people. Plus, a further 2,000 are invited to take part in educational sessions held at Kingsholm Stadium.
We are also continuing to support the club’s Match Day Experience, which offers younger fans the opportunity to live the dream with an unforgettable day at the stadium. Bringing together sport and education, the Gloucester Rugby Community Team’s Match Day Experience aims to make a difference to the lives of young people in Gloucester.
