Three inspirational businesses featured in our Local Business Spotlight

Posted: 11 December 2020

Sk Local Business Spotlight 02 (1)

We profiled three community-orientated organisations in this week’s Local Business Spotlight. With the pandemic introducing challenges for many people, these businesses remind us that every small action can make a big difference.

La Danse Fantastique

La Danse Fantastique (LDF) has put a spin on the lockdown blues, reminding everyone to keep singing and dancing at home. This performing arts school for mixed ability students has committed to teaching the universal language of dance and music both in and out of lockdown.

While some group rehearsals have been put on pause, LDF keeps the passion for music alive by continuing to run their solo drama, solo singing and group singing practices. They have also introduced a bit of fun in the mix by hosting fun events such as an online Halloween fancy dress quiz and a summer picnic! Swale Heating

In the winter months, a broken boiler is not an ideal situation. The team at Swale Heating work hard to make sure that homes and business throughout the south east are kept warm! They also support the Demelza Hospice Care for Children and are currently involved in their Christmas Tree-cycle fundraising event.

Visit their Instagram page and their website to see the other ways they are involved in the community.

Rotary Ewell

The Rotary Club of Ewell makes an impact in their community (and the world) in several ways. From donating shelter boxes for South-East African cyclone victims to supporting a number of charities in the UK. Knowing that lockdown has been a difficult time for many, the Rotary Club of Ewell has been busier than ever.

Recently, President Margaret took part in Remembrance Sunday and the team have recently announced the fourth year of running Project Wenceslas to help local people in fuel poverty. Find out more about Rotary Club of Ewell’s happenings on their website.
