Aqua Parcs was born out of a love for water and all things fun. Founders and friends Kieron Murty and Joe Grix partnered up to create something both wonderful and out of this world – and they certainly did! Today, their floating obstacle course of pure adrenaline is giving families, friends and colleagues a memorable day out in Milton Keynes.
Aqua Parcs started out as most businesses do – with two friends and an idea to do something both crazy and incredible. “I wanted to mix my love for water and create a business that provides fun for all types of guests,” Joe says. Driven to design a park for water-enthusiasts and sunbathers alike, Joe and Kieron took the plunge and opened Aqua Parcs in 2018 in Milton Keynes' Willen Lake.
The 400-metre floating course consists of 30 different obstacles for various levels, allowing adventure-seekers as young as six to join in on the fun. From catapult swings and climbing walls to whirlpools and giant slides, the colossal course has something for everyone. “We created a big park with lots of different obstacles to ensure our guests never get bored and get to have a fun-packed hour or two at our park,” Joe says.
While the Aqua Parcs crew guarantee an adrenaline-pumping day, their guests’ safety always comes first. Visitors are given a 10-minute safety briefing on arrival as well as buoyancy aid for their session so that they can freefall into the water without worry. There are also trained lifeguards on duty to make sure guests are conquering each course safely. “We’ve recently been awarded the gold standard from the RLSS UK for having consistent equipment and operational safety measures in place,” the team says.
With so many exhilarating activities on offer, the park has become a local favourite in the summer months. As the team at Aqua Parcs gear up for a new season, they are excited to make a splash in more cities around the UK. “We are looking to expand the business by adding more locations and activities to our offering,” Joe says.
