Through this partnership we are able to offer all of our customers a convenient and affordable hourly van rental service to help you transport your belongings to and from our stores across the country.
Hertz is one of the world’s most renowned vehicle rental agencies that offers fast online check-in, a free cancellation policy and flexible bookings.
After first launching this partnership with selected stores, our customer feedback was exceptional so we decided to expand the service to all of our owned stores.
At Storage King, we strive to make your self storage experience as simple and convenient as possible and are always looking for ways to improve the process for our customers. This is just one of the ways that we are able to achieve this.
Getting started
The van hire service is available from as little as £15 per hour or £50 per day. These competitive prices make moving affordable, quick and simple. If you want to take advantage of these services you can do so by following these three easy steps:
Make a booking with Hertz
If you are a new Hertz member, you can pre-register online or via the free Hertz 24/7 app (download the app for iOS or Android). Alternatively, as an existing member you can book online, over the phone or on the app. A text message will be sent to confirm your reservation.
Follow the display screen prompts
Once in the vehicle, instructions will be given on the display screen to help you begin your journey. If you require a call-back, you can request this from inside the vehicle at any time. If you plan to leave your own vehicle parked in our car park, please let us know.
Return the van
Once your move is complete, park the van with at least a quarter full tank at the space you took it from. End your booking on the display screen and leave the keys in the van.
While we aim to make the process of moving as simple as possible for all of our customers, there are certain requirements to use the Hertz services. For example, the driver must be over the age of 21 and have held their licence for at least a year. The driver also needs to hold a credit or Visa debit card in their own name.
