Easter at Wakehurst

Are you ready for an egg-straordinary Easter adventure? Wakehurst is a botanical paradise in Sussex that transforms into a magical wonderland during Easter. From the 30th of March to the 23rd of April 2023, the ornamental gardens put on a spectacular show of the renowned tale, Superworm. 

Take the kids on this easter adventure and follow the incredible journey of Superworm, an invertebrate hero on a mission! This brand-new trail is filled with fun interactive activities, including a fun microbe-hunting mission, wormery workshops, and garden storytelling sessions.

Easter run in London

If you're a fitness fanatic and love Easter, then the London Easter 10k is just the event for you. Join thousands of runners on Easter Monday, 10th April, in the beautiful Regent’s Park located in the centre of London. 

This beautiful course takes you through scenic areas and attractions such as the Money Fountain, Regent's Park Broad Walk, and even the London Zoo. Not only is this a great way to end off the Easter weekend, but it’ll also help you burn off all those chocolate eggs and hot cross buns!

Easter Events in Wales

Bala Lake Railway

Take your Easter celebrations up a notch with the Bala Lake Railway. From the 7th to the 10th of April, the railway is hosting an Easter egg hunt like no other. Ride the train along the picturesque Bala Lake while hunting for eggs, and take in the stunning scenery of Snowdonia National Park. 

There will also be plenty of chocolatey prizes up for grabs for all the hunters, and the White Rabbit might even make a surprise appearance. The price of the Easter Egg Hunt is included with your normal train ticket.

Dragon Egg Hunt 

This Easter, why not mix it up mediaeval style with a dragon egg hunt at Gwrych Castle near Abergele in Conwy, North Wales. From the 1st of April to the 10th, the castle is opening its doors for a magical egg hunt, where children can search for dragon eggs hidden throughout the castle grounds. 

Young dragon keepers will receive a manual, an Easter puzzle book, and chocolate treats to help them in their journey. Don't forget to dress up as your favourite mediaeval character to add to the fun. The best dressed will also receive a pot of chocolate gold coins!

Easter Eggstravaganza at Edinburgh Zoo

Edinburgh Zoo is offering an Easter Eggstravaganza for all the animal lovers out there. From Saturday the 1st of April until Wednesday the 19th, the zoo is hosting a range of fun Easter activities, including the Top Trumps Easter Hunt Trail, bestiary painting workshops, and a two-course roast dinner at the Mansion House. And the highlight of the event? Meeting the zoo's famous and adorable resident red pandas.

The Big Egg Hunt at Culzean Castle and Country Park
