Store Manager

Storage King Wakefield is looking for an energetic, sales motivated Store Manager to run their busy Wakefield facility. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of running the store and helping grow the business to its full potential. All applicants should have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a managerial role preferably within the self-storage or retail Industry.

In addition a proven track record in sales is essential as well as being confident and customer focused in order that all revenue targets are met, so strong selling and communication skills are important. The ability to motivate and inspire a small team to exceed expectations is critical, along with good computer skills.

It is important that the successful candidate is self-motivated and has the ability to prioritise tasks.

PROFILE

The successful candidate should have the following attributes:

• A good business knowledge with a sales and customer focused background 
• Experience of managing customers.
• Experience of working and managing small teams.
• Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced demanding environment with minimal supervision.
• Self-driven, passionate and committed to exceed above expectations
• Responsible for the delivery of sales and revenue targets
• Flexible and willing to travel
• Be prepared to work every other Saturday with a day off in the week, store hours 8.30am-6.00pm Mon –Fri and 10.00am- 4.00pm Saturdays.
• Ability to work using their own initiative.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Customer Service

• Responsible for the conversion of prospects into storage customers.
• Actively promote the sale of add on products, merchandise, insurance, shredding.
• Identifying ways to improve business performance
• To promote the services of both the Store and the company
• To ensure that all customers (both in person, on the telephone and through e-mail) are given all the help and advice possible.
• To ensure that all customer enquiries are logged and followed up in a timely manner
• To ensure that all customers visiting the Store are aware of the security procedures
• To ensure that all customer’s requests are handled professionally and with customer service in mind

 Store Presentation

• To maintain the highest possible level of cleanliness and presentation of the store to include all internal and external areas, office and toilets.
• Accountable for the presentation of packaging materials etc. to generate increased sales and enhance the reception/retail area
• To ensure that all company equipment is fit for purpose and to report any equipment which is in need of attention or repair.
• To report any maintenance required at the store via appropriate channels in a timely manner, this may include undertaking minor repairs where necessary.
• Be smart and professional at all times
