3. What information will Storage King collect about me?
   
   

   You may sign up to participate in or receive a service from the storageking.co.uk website such as competitions, live chats, online quotations, reserve online and registering for the 'Customer Zone' with the single online registration systems used across different parts of the storageking.co.uk website.

   In this 'Customer Zone', we may request personal information about you such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number, and date of birth. Different web pages may ask for different personal information. Storage King also uses cookies (see Point 13 below) and collects IP addresses (this is a number that uniquely identifies a specific computer or other network device on the Internet). Using specific software, we constantly analyse IP address and cookies so that we can improve your user experience of our website.

   Storage King will use your personal information for a number of purposes including:

   • For 'service administration purposes' which means Storage King may contact you for reasons related to the service you have requested or signed up for as set up in Point 6 below (e.g. to provide you with password reminders or notify you that a particular service has been suspended for maintenance).
   • To inform you of relevant offers based on the information you have requested.
   • Using IP addresses to identify the location of users, the number of visits from different countries and also to block disruptive use.
   • To analyse and improve the services offered at storageking.co.uk e.g. to provide you with the most user-friendly navigation experience.

   If Storage King proposes using your personal information for any other uses, we will ensure that we notify you in advance.

   Generally we only use your information inside Storage King. However, sometimes we need third parties to process your information within Storage King.     Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you can rightfully request a copy of the personal information held about you by Storage King We charge £10 for such information requests and will require two proofs of identity with two pieces of approved photographic identification. At your request, any inaccuracies can be corrected, and we will use reasonable efforts to supply, correct or delete personal information about you on our files.
