Self Storage Property Opportunities
Storage King is a UK operated company with storage locations throughout the UK. We are constantly looking for well located new sites to expand our existing portfolio and have successfully acquired nine existing self storage operators since 2011 with more to follow in the coming months.
Storage King is predominantly looking to acquire existing self storage operators and will consider these opportunities throughout the UK.
We will also consider:
- New build sites (minimum G.I.A. of 65,000sqft)
- Existing buildings suitable for conversion. We are flexible on our format within the M25 and will consider smaller stores, basements, car parks (in very specific instances) and mixed-use opportunities
- Development sites (0.6 – 1.5 acres)
- Joint Ventures
- Third Party Management Agreements
Suitable properties should be:
- Freehold or long leasehold
- Leasehold (25+ years) if property is located within M25
- Main road frontage or prominent position at the front of an industrial estate
- Buildings of 65,000sqft G.I.A. with B8 planning use, or the potential for change of use
- In densely populated urban areas

We are happy to pay agents’ commissions where they are not instructed. Our standard rates are 2% on freeholds or 10% of first year’s rent for leases.
